Fear doesn't always look like fear

Sometimes it looks like pressure, or needing everything to be perfect. Sometimes it looks like saying yes to everything, giving more than you receive, and making it all look easy. Sometimes it looks like exhaustion you can't explain, or quietly letting life happen to you instead of choosing it.

Fear is often running underneath our days without us knowing it. Our bodies respond to it whether something is actually threatening us or we are simply thinking about something that might. Over time, that constant state of alert starts to feel normal, and it can leave us feeling stuck, as if there is no way out and no way forward.

The good news is that fear can be navigated. When you learn to recognize it, feel it, and find what lives underneath it, it loses its grip, and you get your energy, your clarity, and your choices back.

What we'll do together

Name what you're really feeling

Using the Feeling Wheel, we'll move past "fine" and "stressed" to find the honest words for what you're experiencing. You'll notice which feelings lift you and which pull you down, and begin to see the emotional habits you return to again and again.

Recognize fear in your body

We'll explore the fight, flight, freeze, and fawn response and what it feels like in your body, whether that's a tight stomach, tense shoulders, shallow breath, or a racing heart. Then we'll explore its opposite, rest and repose, so you know what you're moving toward. Learning your own signals is what lets you catch fear early instead of being carried away by it.

Find what's underneath

Fear is often hiding under other feelings like overwhelm, pressure, or the need to belong. Through a guided meditation, you'll practice moving from fight or flight into rest, feeling what's there without judgment, and gently looking underneath the fear. We'll close this part with a few quiet minutes of journaling.

Moving Forward

Envisioning what life will look like when you are navigating fear and choosing what you want to do next.

Why I teach this

For years, I didn't know fear was running my life. To me, it looked like perfectionism, saying yes to everything, and an exhaustion that no diet, supplement, or retreat could fix. When I finally learned to feel my fear instead of outrunning it, something remarkable happened: it changed. It got smaller, and my energy came back. Navigating fear has been the most freeing journey of my life, and I would love to share what I've learned with you.

After this work, people are often surprised by how much of their energy was tied up in worry and fear, and how long it had been hiding in plain sight. As they use these tools, their energy returns. They sleep better, say yes to things they’d been putting off, and start to feel alive in their own lives again.
